Find out how we meet your specific needs

Disinfection and disinfection measurement is one of the main steps in water treatment to ensure water safety for drinking water, process water or discharge water. Our solutions are perfectly adapted to your application and help you meet standards and achieve compliance with regulations.

Safe monitoring of disinfection is essential for drinking water, pool and process water. Our sensors are tested for performance and reliability in long-term tests under critical working conditions.

Swimming pools and thermal spas

Swimming pools need to provide clean and safe water. To achieve this, free chlorine dosing is controlled by measuring free chlorine, pH and ORP. Thermal spas often use free bromine as disinfectant due to the salinity of the water. It is also gaining popularity in all swimming pools since it does not form odorous compounds when combined with ammonium. Here, Memosens CCS55E free bromine sensor provides high precision, long-term stability and accurate information on the disinfection efficiency.

Drinking water monitoring

Water facilities are set up to ensure a reliable supply of clean drinking water to the consumer. Disinfection plays an important role here. When water is transported to its destination, free chlorine or chlorine dioxide are often added due to their lasting disinfectant effect. However, high doses of these disinfectants can be toxic and compliance with limit values is important. Memosens CCS50E and CCS51E disinfection sensors provide fast and stable measurements to achieve a safe disinfection.

Membrane filtration

Membrane filtration is an important step in water treatment be it drinking water, process water for e.g. softdrink production, water reuse or seawater desalination. The challenge for disinfection sensors in this application is reliable measurement even after longer periods without seeing any chlorine. Memosens chlorine sensors are not deactivated in these conditions but start measuring immediately when chlorine is present. They only need a little longer response time to become stable.

Remote control of disinfectant dosage

Fountains or ponds need to be free of algae, biofilms or undesirable biological environment. Disinfection helps to meet these requirements but disinfection stations are often scattered in the area. Using a remote control with our Liquiline CM44 transmitter allows secure access to different measuring points from your desk or mobile device.

And Heartbeat Technology helps to plan maintenance efficiently since Memosens disinfection sensors can predict that e.g. a change of electrolyte is necessary.
